Training

TrYForce coaches and members are dedicated to the development of skills and physical fitness pertaining to the sport of triathlon training and racing. Swimming, cycling and running are the main focus of the sport. Nutritional practices and training regimes also play a very important role and together with swimming, cycling and running, form the bases of a strong foundation for a successful Triathlete.

TrYForce club training activities run all round. From October to April, swimming, spinning , running, strength and conditioning take place indoors at the local YMCA branches, to participate a YMCA membership is required.

Swimming
Day: Sunday
Time : 6:30 to 7:30 AM

Spinning
Day: Sunday
Time: 7:45 to 8:30 AM
Place: St. Catharines YMCA

Brick Workouts (cycle and run)
Day: Thursday
Time 6:30 to 8:00 PM
Place: St. Catharines YMCA


May to September Outdoors. To participate a TrYForce membership is required.

 

Swimming (open water)
Day: Saturday
Time: 8:00 to 9:00 AM
Place: Welland Flat Water Recreational Center, Welland

Running
Day: Tuesday
Time: 6:30 to 7:30 PM
Place: Burgoyne Woods (as an option some runs will start from St. Catharines YMCA – see weekly postings for any venue changes)

Cycling
Day: Sunday
Time: Level Three: 7:00 to 10:00 AM, Level Two: 7:30 to 10:00 AM, Level One: 8:00 to 10:00 AM
Place: Meet at Starbucks Fourth Ave. St. Catharines

Brick Workout (cycle and run)
Day: Thursday
Time: 6:30 to 8:00 PM
Place: Meet North Pelham Community Church, North Pelham
